that's a live view from the nbc 4 hd city camera. all morning long, we've had the cloud cover come and go but it's gone now all around most of the region. still cloudy out the mountains. and temperatures around the area are still chilly. we're in the 40s. 46 now at reagan national. and later today, only going to climb up to around 50 during the afternoon. big changes on the way. a cold start tomorrow morning for election day. near 30 degrees much of the region during the afternoon into the 40s with increasing clouds and then a coastal storm likely going to bring us rain, snow and wind on wednesday. it looks like falling from the 40s wednesday morning, back down into the 30s, once precipitation begins. could get some accumulating snow wednesday evening into very early thursday morning. still too early to tell how much. we'll keep you informed on that. we'll have a better idea certainly by tomorrow. and then warming up friday, saturday and sunday. as sunshine returns. maybe even low 60s on saturday and sunday. barbara and keith. >> all

it's snowing from massachusetts into connecticut and areas north of new york city. moderate snow is falling in parts of new jersey. it looks like the moisture cranked inland. we could have the moisture make it to the metro area. not a lot of it. not much in the way of problems for us. here in northeastern maryland there could be as well as northern delaware. the philadelphia area could get quite a bit of snow out of it. we'll keep you informed about that in the afternoon hours. doug and veronica will be here. we'll have special updates to watch the progress of the storm. the temperatures are well above freezing. low to mid-40s. the road temperatures right now around 40 degrees, so that is really a mitigating factor for precipitation that falls. a winter weather advisory for northeastern maryland. a winter storm warning for northern delaware, new jersey and philadelphia where they could get four, five, six inches of wet snow later today. for us, i don't think it's going to happen. hour-by-hour, might have a few flakes falling by 2:00. late afternoon and the evening h
